3D Design and Printing

CAD + 3D-printing work for enclosures, mounts and mechanical parts that my electronics projects needed.

3D Design and Printing

Overview

Half of my electronics projects only stop looking like a tangle of wires once they have a printed enclosure or a printed bracket holding them together. So I keep coming back to Fusion 360 and the printer. This section collects the practical CAD work that supports the rest of my portfolio — enclosures, mounts, jigs, brackets.

Architecture

CAD models are designed around the electronics, exported for slicing, printed, and refined after physical fit testing.

Implementation details

PCB

Designs consider component fit, screw mounting, connector access, print orientation, and assembly tolerance.

Components / BOM

Fusion 360 / CAD software, 3D printer, PLA/PETG filament

Engineering challenges

Matching electronic dimensions exactly, leaving room for connectors, and avoiding print features that are weak just because they look clean in CAD.

Solutions

Iterative prints, measuring real boards before locking dimensions, and small chamfers / reinforcements in the right places.

Results & metrics

A set of printed parts that quietly improve the look and reliability of my electronics builds.

Future improvements

Full enclosure documentation, downloadable STLs and a small stress/thermal note on the parts that have to handle load.
